REGENERATIVE ORTHOPEDIC SHOULDER TREATMENTS
Use your own stem cells to accelerate the healing process
Regenerative Medicine Procedures for Rotator Cuff Tears, Shoulder Arthritis, and Other Shoulder Conditions.
Regenerative Medicine procedures are non-surgical injection-based treatments for people suffering from shoulder pain due to common injuries to the shoulder and rotator cuff, Shoulder Labrum, as well as degenerative conditions — ex. shoulder osteoarthritis. These procedures utilize concentrated repair cells that are obtained from your own bone marrow or blood to promote your body’s own natural ability to heal.
Traditional options for patients suffering from these conditions include arthroscopic shoulder surgery to repair tears, or shoulder joint replacement. With both surgeries, months of rehab are required, and the patient must be aware of and fully prepared to take on the risks. Regenerative Medicine procedures are designed to help reduce pain and improve function with precise highly specific image-guided medical procedures to promote the body’s ability to heal itself naturally.
Commonly Treated Shoulder Conditions
Regenerative Medicine Procedures for Rotator Cuff Tears Using the healing agents from your own body to treat rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, and other common shoulder conditions, Regenerative Medicine provides an alternative to invasive surgeries such as rotator cuff tear surgery, shoulder labrum surgery, acromioplasty, and shoulder replacement. Highly specific, precise, image-guided injections of your own cells and growth factors directly into the injured area promotes your own body’s natural ability to repair. By both mobilizing your body’s own healing mechanisms and eliminating the trauma of surgery and atrophy caused by immobilization, Regenerative Medicine procedures have produced good outcomes in the treatment of rotator cuff tears, and other common shoulder injuries and degenerative conditions like shoulder arthritis.

Stem Cell Therapy Process
Our expert physicians will meet with you by phone or in-person to review your medical history and will determine if you’re a good candidate for stem cell therapy. If we agree stem cell therapy can help, we’ll schedule your first appointment in our office.
In most cases our outpatient treatment takes 2-4 hours and is nearly pain free. You do not have to “go under.” On the day of your procedure, our physicians will collect your stem cells. Fat is obtained from the low back or abdomen, bone marrow is obtained from the back part of the hip. After stem cell collection, you will relax in a private room. Once processed, your stem cells will be injected into the area of need using a highly sophisticated ultrasound instrument with enhanced needle visualization for precise delivery of your stem cells. In some cases, we also administer an IV of your stem cells during treatment to further enhance your body’s natural healing process.
There is virtually no recovery time from your stem cell therapy procedure. Most people are back to work the following day.
Physical Therapy - NRO has partnered with several physical therapist providers specifically trained in therapy following regenerative treatments. The combination of regenerative medicine and physical therapy to correct biomechanical imbalances offers patients an empowering way to take control of their lives.
Our medical staff will remain in touch with you during your recovery process to answer questions.
Patients who are considered to be candidates will be invited for a consultation with one of our panel physicians. Treatment cost varies depending on the disease state being treated and which type of stem cell deployment is required.
